Savannah Care | Philadelphia, PA (Hybrid / Community-Based)

Savannah Care is a Black-owned senior resource center dedicated to helping older adults and their families navigate benefits, services, and care options with dignity and compassion. We’re looking for motivated interns who want real-world experience while making a meaningful impact in the community.

What You’ll Do

• Assist seniors and caregivers with resource navigation (PA Waiver, Medicaid, food assistance, housing, utilities, etc.)

• Support community outreach efforts, events, and workshops

• Help with intakes, documentation, and follow-ups (with supervision)

• Assist with social media, content creation, or administrative tasks (based on interest)

• Learn how nonprofit and community-based services operate from the inside

What You’ll Learn

• How social service systems work at the local and state level

• Client communication and advocacy skills

• Community engagement and outreach strategies

• Real-life experience working with seniors and underserved populations

Who We’re Looking For

• Students or recent graduates in Social Work, Human Services, Public Health, Communications, Marketing, or related fields

• Compassionate, reliable, and community-minded individuals

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Comfortable working with seniors and families

• Passion for community service and equity

Internship Type: Paid or unpaid (school credit welcomed)

Schedule: Flexible hours (part-time)

Location: Philadelphia (some remote tasks available)

Duration: Semester-based or flexible
